Sant Jordi celebration everyday of the week of 23rd of April in Bimbi Books and readings and presentation by Entredos Spanish publishing house
Here the “Syndicat des Librairies Indépendentes” (Independent Booksellers Association) has proposed to celebrate Sant Jordi as well, so many bookshops will be joining such initiative. We wanted to join, but we have been thinking, fresh roses are not an ideal combination for kids, so we have prepared a surprise, that we hope you will love!
Every kid will get a little present* (won’t give away what it is until the 23rd of April!) when buying something in Bimbi Books the week of the Sant Jordi, from Tuesday 23rd of April until Saturday 27th, when we will be finishing the celebration with some readings in Spanish at the bookstore with Entredos.
Our friend Teresa founded, “Entredos“, a children’s publishing house in Spain a few years ago with some friends. We have selected together two of the titles that they have published to read aloud in Bimbi Books. First, the funny “Ladra, George!” winner of plenty of prizes and selected by the New York Public Library in the top 100 children’s books, and second, “Crisantemo” from Kevin Henkes, winner of the Coldecott Medal among others.
