Spanish National Day children’s readings: Gloria Fuertes, Saturday 12th of October at 4pm

We are going to celebrate Spain’s National Day, that is really Saturday 12th of October with a special reading session in honour to Gloria Fuertes. You don’t know her? Children’s lit icon in Spain (check this to know more), maybe like Gianni Rodari in Italy or Dr. Seuss in the States…

So, how are we doing to this? You are going to read! The idea is everybody reads, children and parents, since we have a lot of poems that are quite short, we can all participate! It is a great activity to encourage your kids to participate reading aloud. If they just want to listen, that is fine as well. If you want to prepare one of the poems ahead, be my guest, if you want to just choose one quickly on the spot, that works as well!

If you want to bring another children’s poem or short story in any other of the regional languages from Spain, you are very welcome to do so and read and share with the rest!

Come on, let’s celebrate Spanish culture with the kids!
