🙌 FIRST BOOKCLUB EVER IN BIMBI BOOKS! 🙌 We are going to start one bookclub for kids from 12 years old on in French. Why a bookclub for kids? It is a great idea to foster reading and encourage them to share their thoughts and exchange opinions without the academic weight! I wanted to give a little space also to older kids that enjoy reading and want to share it with their peers.
🎤 We will have maximum 12 kids per bookclub.
We will start with one book session in the spring and see from there, this is a first test. The book that we will read is, one that I personnally love, will be “Henrietta Lacks” by authors Martina Aranda and Clémentine B. published by CotCotCot Éditions in Brussels.
🍵 We will have two sessions per book. A first one to introduce the book and any needed context, and of course the members of the club. A second one, 3-4 weeks after to discuss about the book once they have read it.
⏰ When: Dates to be defined with the participants, we need find the slot that works for the majority! The idea is to start in early May. So if you want your kid to join, write me an email bimbibooks@gmail.com and we will see from there!
💸 Price: To take part, you have to buy the book in Bimbi Books,
👶 Age recommended: 12+ (if you judge your 11 year old can take part, naturally welcome)
🇫🇷 Language: the book is in French, but kids can discuss in other languages if that is needed. We will help.
